Being a travel agent has certainly opened my eyes to the ginormous world around me. There’s so much to see and do outside of my little hometown. Every day, I learn more and more about epic destinations that I know I have to visit someday. My travel bucket list is long, but I am bound and determined to conquer it! Here are the places that I absolutely, positively, without a doubt, visit!
1. Amalfi Coast, Naples, Tuscany, etc., Italy
Italy by far is my favorite European country. I’ve never even traveled there (yet), but I’ve fallen completely in love with every single piece of it. The Amalfi Coast is where I want to visit first. Not only is it part of my heritage, it’s my ultimate vacation destination. I need 2 weeks of vacation, and an unlimited budget, and I would backpack through every part of Italy! I could never choose just one area to travel to here and be satisfied!
2. New Zealand
Nature. Beauty. Peace and tranquility. That is my kind of paradise. New Zealand is stunning, safe, and truly a heaven on earth. Talk about casting all of your worries and cares away. Becoming one with nature and relishing in all its beauty is the perfect cure for anxiety for me!
3. Warsaw, Poland
Poland. Ah the motherland! Full of rich history and heritage for me and my family! Just as I want to eat pizza and drink wine in Italy, I MUST eat pierogi’s and drink authentic Polish beer in Warsaw. It’s just part of the culture. I adore my Polish heritage. The language, the food, the music, the Polka’s…to experience all of that up close and personal, would be a dream come true for me.
I’ll be honest, before I studied and learned about Ireland, I never had a desire to go. I’m not Irish, and I had no desire to sit in Dublin and drink a Guinness. However; I learned that Ireland has so much stunning beauty, and there is actually a plethora to see and do! (Did you know that Ireland has beaches?! Nope, me neither!) The Cliffs of Moher, The Aran Islands, Shannon, Galway, and the list goes on!
5. Southern Africa
There are two things that are a must see on my travel bucket list. Victoria Falls, and to go on some type of African Safari. So far, the closest I’ve come to doing either is by visiting Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. I love that park, buuuut I don’t think anything can compare to seeing the real thing!
The perfect place to see the Northern Lights! Enough said!
7. Denali National Park, Alaska
I am such a fan of natural beauty and wildlife, so it is only fitting that Denali National Park in Alaska makes this list! Ideally, I’d love to take an Alaskan cruise! Really, if you want to see Alaska, that is the best way to do it! I’m fairly confident that I will be able to book myself of an Alaskan cruise, but just in case, this is the one place in Alaska that I have to see!
8. Musha Cay, Bahamas
Musha Cay is a private resort on the Islands of Copperfield Bay, owned by illusionist David Copperfield. Surrounded by a tropical jungle, the 150-acre property is rented to one party at a time and accommodates up to 24 visitors. Each of the five guesthouses has its own private beach, as well as four-poster beds, wraparound decks, and imported antiques. The resort is run by a staff of 30 employees, who serve customized meals in an oceanfront pavilion or directly on the beach. Activities range from outdoor movies to water sports and excursions to a village of friendly monkeys. Take me there! I’ll take two tickets to paradise, please!
9. Disney’s Aulani Resort, Hawaii
Ah. Heaven on earth. I think that’s the best way that I know how to describe this place. Sure, Hawaii is on most people’s bucket lists – let’s face it, why not?! Perfect weather, gorgeous, sandy beaches, amazing culture – how could you not love it? The Aulani Resort combines my love of Disney and a tropical paradise. Compared with other resorts on the multiple islands of Hawaii, Aulani is simply unparalleled. Wave goodbye to your troubles, and say Aloha to crystal blue waters, horseback riding on the beach, ultimate luxury with the spa services, and more! You won’t have to ask me twice! I’m so there! 🙂
My travel list can go on and on and on…among this list, I’d love to see the glorious mountains in Switzerland, Buckingham Palace (so I can meet my own Prince ;)) in England, take a river cruise on the Danube, and of course, sail along the Greek Islands on a Mediterranean cruise! I don’t know when I’ll get to these places, but I’m determined to get to each of these beauties someday! Living free, stamping the passport, and doing more than just existing.
So, tell me…if you had an unlimited budget, unlimited vacation time, and could go anywhere in the world, where would YOU go? What is your destination bucket list?
